Representing Girls and Women in STEM
We were approached by the Association of Science and Technology Centers to collaborate with them and IF/THEN on creating a toolkit for museums and science centers to help assess their representation of girls and women in STEM. This toolkit will be used by evaluation teams to review their current exhibitions, websites, marketing materials, etc. to see how well they represent girls and women in STEM, and then provide them with resources on how to improve that representation.

Creating focal points
Across all of our projects we design visuals to direct our viewers to key information. For these graphics we used color coding in the illustrations to create focal points to highlight key content. In this case, we wanted the toolkit users to quickly see and understand how to define where they should be evaluating their visual representation of girls and women in STEM: space, elements, and types.
